Free ukulele jam hosted by the Twin Cities Ukulele Club! The 2nd and 4th Friday of every month, 11:30-1:30. Bring a ukulele (or purchase one here at Cadenza, we have several options at different price points), all levels welcome.

All community members are welcome to attend the Halloween recital. Students will be sharing what they’ve been working on, we’ll be serving refreshments, and prizes will be given out to those who arrive in costume!

Katia Cardenas is a stellar talent with irresistible charm, performing an enticing mix of swinging jazz standards, Latin Jazz, and R&B favorites with some of her originals sprinkled in. Any performance by Katia promises to be a dynamic one filled with fun banter, emotionally honesty and impeccable vocal performance. Tickets are $15. Chicago-based screamo band The World in Broken Glass touring show with local screamo and cybergrind bands Mold, Small Animal Hospital, Sleeping on Stardust and 3000 Centipedes. $10 at the door.

Paul Storms will be hosting an afternoon of Irish Music on Saturday March 16th at 2 pm.  This event is free for anyone to come along just to listen, but we encourage you to bring an instrument and play or sing along.

Join us as we celebrate our wonderful students with a showcase. Students will share what they’ve been working on, teachers may treat us to special performances, and snacks are provided. Students — watch for sign-up sheets in the lobby to secure a spot in the recital!

A representative from Yamaha will be in Studio 20 with a selection of saxophones to try out. Scott Mims from the Cadenza Repair Shop and Jeff King, long-time Cadenza saxophone teacher, will all be on-hand to talk about how to maintain your instrument, tips on keeping everything in tip-top shape, and more. If you’re a sax player, this event is not to be missed!
